A temperature probe is a type of sensor that measures temperature. Temperature probes come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are used for solid, liquid or gas temperature measurement and temperature monitoring. The sensor embedded in the temperature probe is usually a thermocouple or a thermoresistance, which performs an additional temperature measurement and converts it into an electrical signal. Ensuring accuracy in temperature measurement is equally important, as incorrect temperature records can lead to equipment damage, lower quality products, or even pose serious risks to human health.
