Timers

What is a timer?

The timer is designed to control processes over time by turning on and off various electrical actuators. It controls the sequence of an event while counting in fixed time intervals. A timer is used to create a precise time delay. Second, it can be used to repeat or initiate an action after a certain period of time. This function is used very often in several applications. An example could be setting an alarm that goes off at a certain time or after a certain period of time. Most of the controllers have built-in timers. Timers in controllers not only generate time delays but can also be used as counters.
