Description
The RHU is designed to convert the relative humidity of air and other gases and gas mixtures into a temperature difference using the “dry” and “wet” thermometer method (psychrometric method) using 2 identical class “A” platinum thermoresistances housed in a special stainless housing , built into a stainless steel structure that can be installed on the outside or inside of dryers and chambers to maintain a certain humidity. The psychrometric method is known for its high accuracy in determining the relative humidity, which is achieved by constantly maintaining the evaporation of moisture from the “wet” sensor. For this purpose, the converter is equipped with a special device for automatic wetting. This method also requires that a constant movement of air (gases) through the sensor area during the measurement ≥ 3 m/s is ensured. Complete with a COMECO device for measuring and controlling relative humidity by the psychrometric method (RT180 or RT390), the RHU can find a very wide application where capacitive transducers are unsuitable or of insufficient accuracy: high-temperature boiling or drying chambers, maintenance chambers of standard relative humidity, etc.
