Description

PSF80x is a liquid flow sensor manufactured by SWISSFLOW and offered by COMECO. Its operation is based on the unique rotor-type sensor technology patented by the manufacturer. The extremely light rotor made of Vectra® material (only 0.04 g), the radial flow, as well as the special housing design turn the rotor into a float that “hangs” in the liquid. In this way, the mechanical resistance to the movement of the rotor is so small that it is practically impossible to measure. This ensures durability, high accuracy and linearity. The rotor interrupts an infrared beam passing through the liquid and thus the built-in electronics converts the flow rate into a pulse output signal. The special design of the rotor enables operation at high pressures (up to 250 bar). The construction materials used (PVDF, Vectra®, Viton®) have very good resistance to chemicals and temperature (up to 90 °C). In addition to the standard conversion range (0.5…20 l/min), others are available on request. The unique design makes the PSF80x sensor particularly suitable for universal application and offers an excellent price-performance ratio.
