The Model PSF100 Flow Detector is designed to handle low-viscosity, non-sticky, clean or contaminated fluids at moderate velocities such as water and aqueous solutions, oils and fuels. The principle of operation of the PSF100 is based on the influence of the temperature dissipation of a heated electrode by the speed of movement of a fluid flow. The signaller measures the temperature difference between 2 electrodes immersed in the liquid and when the set point is reached, after about 15 seconds of reaction time, it turns on its relay output. Programming, adjustment, self-diagnosis and all functions are controlled by a microcontroller, and the design allows operation in a variety of industrial applications.
