Comeco’s HCP series band heaters are specially designed to cover all kinds of cylindrical shaped workpieces and vessels such as nozzles for injection molding machines and other processing equipment for plastics, resins, rubbers, etc. HCP heaters can be manufactured with dimensions and power according to the customer’s needs, subject to a maximum heating density limit of 3.5 W/cm2. The belt heaters have a stainless housing and high quality electrical insulation between the electric heaters and the metal housing. The electrical connection can be made with a direct lead cable with fiberglass insulation, with screw terminals or with a standard plug. On request, a set with a “J” type thermocouple mounted on a sleeve on the outside of the heater is also possible. Other typical applications of HCP heaters are in coffee machines, in evaporators for sterilization of hospital rooms, for external heating of cylindrical containers and syringe molds, in the production of toys and household appliances.
